Tom Ginocchio elected to NorCal Board of Directors

In accordance with our bylaws, NorCal Premier has finalized the election of the next two RAC elected board members to represent the membership on the NorCal Premier Board of Directors.  Ballots were closed last Monday, and votes were certified with NorCal staff and the leadership from each RAC.

Receiving 6 votes each the new members of the NorCal Board of Directors are Tom Ginocchio from Region 3/4 (Walnut Creek Soccer Club, and Paul O’Brien from Region 6 (Placer United).  Tom and Paul will begin their terms immediately, and will serve for a term of two years.

NorCal Board of Directors Election Policy:

At least 30 days prior to the date of any election of any RAC-Elected Director, the President shall appoint a nominating committee to confirm the qualifications of each nomination taken from the Regional Advisory Committees.  The committee shall confirm the candidates at least fifteen days prior to the election.  Each Regional Advisory Committee shall nominate one candidate each election cycle.

The election of RAC-Elected Directors shall take place in each Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) meeting following the annualgeneral meeting.  Each RAC shall adopt its own voting procedure.  Each club in good standing within the RAC shall vote for two candidates confirmed by the nominating committee.  Votes shall be tallied within each RAC, and each RAC Chairperson shall cast votes for the two candidates selected by the RAC.  The two candidates receiving the most votes from the RAC Chairpeople shall be elected to the NorCal Board of Directors.  Any ties among two or more candidates shall be settled by a runoff election between those candidates.
