United Select started out the tournament with a convincing 6-1 win over Pleasant Hill followed by a 5-0 win over Antelope to qualify for the final four out of the original field of 13 teams. United struggled Sunday morning against a Winters team that they beat two weeks earlier 4-0 losing 5-1 missing the opportunity to play for the championship. United rebounded in the final game controlling the tempo of the game and possession of the ball to a 4-2 win against Riverbank.  Angelo Valdes scored a goal just over the finger tips of the goalie with a direct free kick from 30 yards out. Maverick Wilson scored his first hat trick of the season. Dylan Thomas played an outstanding second half in goal to rob Riverbank of a number of late game challenges. Way to go United!!
