05B White: Finalists at Cal Cup

A brand new group with players mixed from last year’s 04 and 05 age groups, many of the boys on Walnut Creek’s 05 silver team had barely learned each other’s names.

Fighting in hot Sacramento sun, they overwhelmed their first two opponents by the same convincing score of 4 – 2.  In their third game, they fell 0 – 3 to a strong Davis Legacy team, but Walnut Creek’s wins and their goal differential propelled them to the championship game… where they faced the same Davis Legacy team again.  Walnut Creek fought their guts out and came away with silver medals.
