WCSC ’03G Blue Win Pleasanton Rage College Showcase Jrs.

The WCSC ’03G Blue continued their impressive 2016 season by winning the Championship Game of the Pleasanton Rage College Showcase Jrs., beating Pleasanton ECNL 1-0.  WCSC won all three games in group play, beating Ajax East Bay (2-0), Mustang Elite (3-2) and Palo Alto Blue (3-1) on their way to the finals.  The Championship game was tied 0-0 at the end of regulation and went into two 5-minute overtime periods.  Near the end of the 1st period the girls executed a corner kick set piece to perfection with Natalie LaRue flicking a near post service on to the space behind her where Zoe Morgenstern knocked it into the back of the net (video). This was a total team effort with tremendous play and contributions throughout the tournament coming from every player.  (link to event)

’03G Blue continues to add hardware to the trophy case in 2016.  After finishing 3rd in the NorCal Spring Premier league, they were Champions in the WCSC Creek Cup Invitational, and Finalists at the Davis Legacy Showcase for Girls. With their performance in the Pleasanton Rage College Showcase Jrs. the girls have made it three Finals appearances in three tournaments.  Well done, ladies!!
