98 White Win Dublin Tournament

The 98G had a great weekend battling through some tough competition and the blistering heat. They played in a 5 team bracket where highest points takes all. Starting Friday they came out against Dublin Premier team where both teams had their chances, late in the second half Greta Kohls scored from a great shot just inside the 18th. Sat evening took them against their own Clubs black team where they sealed a solid win to go into Sunday in the driving seat. Sunday morning saw them play against a well disciplined and technical team Tottenham Hotspurs where chances both sides but WCSC having the sight edge. Going into the second half WCSC 98g started to gain more momentum and the number of chances increasing until finally a cross by Noelle Mazowlewski was poked home by Greta Khols again. Going into the final game 98G were in a very strong position – scoring one goal and the points would have been out of reach for Castro Valley. Fifteen minutes into the first half Maddi Gorham with her blistering pace charged past the CV defense and blasted home a tremendous shot. With the Championship sealed 98G coated through the rest of the game and finally won 3-1 with two great goals from Vanessa Chequer and Noelle Mazowlewski. Well done to Coach Steve Bradley and his 98Gs
