WCSC U12-U14 Tryouts continue this week!!

On Monday, Feb 13th, WCSC began tryouts and team formation for the 2004-2006 (U12-U14) age groups which will wrap up this week. If you are still interested in WCSC Competitive soccer, you can register through the Tryout link on our website.
WCSC is one of the top clubs in the East Bay, and participates in the National Premier League (NPL) which is our State Premier League. 57 clubs participate in the NPL, and Walnut Creek SC is one of only eight clubs in the State that has a team participating in each age group. As an NPL club, our U12 and U13 teams are Pre-NPL age groups, and our U14’s will have automatic entry in the NPL. This past year over 120 college coaches were at the November NPL College Showcase scouting players. More are expected for the Spring College Showcase.
We have an outstanding staff of Directors and Coaches to help players learn age appropriate skills while preparing to play high level soccer. Our staff includes current and former National Team and professional players, College Coaches and Players, and local high school coaches.

Boys:
2006 (U12): Rick Morin– 2nd year with WCSC. Rick is also our Boys Technical Director. Current PDP (Player Development Program State Coach, former Asst. Coach Cal-Berkeley, former Director of Coaching (16 years); Jeremy Bedig- 3rd year with WCSC, seven years of total coaching experience, Jeremy is also the current College Park Boys Varsity Soccer Head Coach; Daniel Deluca- 1st year with WCSC; former WCSC player, Daniel is returning to WCSC after coaching here from 2007-09
2005 (U13): Jeremy Bedig- 3rd year with WCSC, seven years of total coaching experience, Jeremy is also the current College Park Boys Varsity Soccer Head Coach; Edgar Rivera- 8th year with WCSC, has coached at all levels from youth to premier; played college soccer at Notre Dame de Namur; grew up playing for Nomads Soccer Club in Cal South. Elmer Suarez- 4th year with WCSC. Advanced National Diploma and 10+ years of competitive coaching experience. Played college soccer for Cal Poly and graduated with his degree in Engineering.
2004 (U14): Brian Catalano (Assisted by Paul Curtis)- Brian holds a USSF National B Coaching License (currently in the USSF A course), former college player & coach, coached NPL last season, Director of WCSC Goalkeeper Academy & CYC (Concord Youth Center). Was WCSC co-Coach of the Year last season. Paul Curtis (Asst)- 9th season with WCSC, current NPL Coach, current Acalanes High School Boys Varsity Head Coach, past CC Times Coach of the Year, former WCSC co-Coach of the Year; Mike Morgan- 8th year with WCSC. Current Mt Diablo High School Science teacher, former WCSC premier level player, former High School coach. Mike currently holds his NCSAA National Diploma. Cristian Rojas- 7th year with WCSC. Cristian grew up playing in Chile and is a former WCSC co-Coach of the Year and also a former High School Boys coach.
Girls:
2006 (U12): Bradlee DeShane- 4th year with WCSC. Former standout player for Davis Legacy Socer Club, Bradlee was a college player at Fresno State University, and professionally plays for the Sacramento Storm (WPSL). She has been coaching for seven years. Samir Sehad- 3rd year with WCSC. Grew up playing competitively in Algeria and is currently working with the Concord Youth Center (CYC).
2005 (U13): Steve Bradley- 9th year with WCSC. Steve has coached at all levels within WCSC, and is an accomplished Premier level coach. He has also coached High School. He will be coaching both teams in this age group.
2004 (U14): Kelly Ginocchio- 10th year with WCSC. Played for UC San Diego where she won 2-National Championships. Has been a premier level coach with WCSC, DeAnza Force and MVLA. Currently teaches at Miramonte High School in Orinda. WCSC Co-Coach of the year this past season. Tafa- 2nd year with WCSC. Tafa is a former Brazilian National Team player and professional player who participated in the Women’s World Cup. Tafa also works with youth at the Concord Youth Center.
Besides a strong Director’s and Coaching Staff, WCSC also offers some of the best natural grass fields in the area for players to train on; along with these programs:
