The prestigious Las Vegas College Showcase was well represented by 3 WCSC girls teams this past weekend.  The showcase is well attended by over 300+ college coaches from all over the country, watching from the sidelines scouting hundreds of teams that converged to Vegas for the 4 match showcase.  WCSC’s three teams included our ’98/99GB team, ’00GB, and ’02GB teams.

WCSC’s teams all did very well and represented our club against some of the finest teams in the country.  The ’02GB and the ’00GB teams each competed well, winning one of their four matches.

The ’02GB team led by Sissi had this to say about the tournament “Great tournament where we played great opponents. The girls played against great opponents and showed an excellent work ethic and team work.  Overall it was a great experience.”

The ’00BB team led by Rick Morin stated “The team performed very well with only two substitutes playing 90 degree weather. Faced top level competition, Academy and ECNL level.”

The ’98/99 team led by Josh Duffy won their group and played exceptionally well – please read their additional team write-up below:

’98/99 GB in Vegas-
“Congratulations to our 98G Blue team on their success in one of the Country’s top College Showcases, the Las Vegas Players College Showcase.  The 98G Blue team became WCSC’s first team to win all 4 games in the event, outscoring all of their Southern CA opponents by a total of 10 GF and 1 GA.  Additionally, 4 players that have played with our 98G Blue team during the 2016-17 season have committed to play college soccer, with more still going through the communication process.
