99/00’s started weekend off by losing 1-0 to Placer United. Even though they played well, they could not finish their shots and gave up an unlucky goal. In their second game against Modesto Ajax, Sarah Freed put away two goals in the first 5 minutes and last 5 minutes for Walnut Creek to win 2-1. On Sunday morning, Walnut Creek had to win and Placer United had to lose to move on. Walnut Creek beat Vacaville 1-0 with a goal by Tara Bradley and assisted by Taylor Weidinger. Placer United fell 2-0. Walnut Creek played Santa Clara Sporting in the finals, winning 1-0. The goal was a jumble in the box which was put away by Kylie Clements. Stellar defense contributed to the success and shutouts on Sunday.
