Walnut Creek Soccer Club 06 B Blue played their first games of the season this past weekend at the Mustang Stampede Tournament and came away as Champions!

On Saturday the boys scored 7 goals and allowed zero despite the heat, injuries, and fatigue. Sunday morning the 06 boys struggled to find their rhythm but in the end, Kenji Begossi scored a hat-trick and Julian Vaucher sent a beautiful pass to Grayson Boustead who sealed the win with a 4th goal.
The final game on Sunday afternoon was a nail biter, with back and forth action. WCSSC possessed the ball for much of the game, but just couldn’t find the back of the net. The game ended with a 0-0 tie, sending it into double overtime and finally PKs. Francisco Aguilar, Egor Dobrolyubov, and Lucas LeSieur adeptly scored their PKs and goal keeper, Odin Miller saved 3 of 4 of the opponents shots, giving the WCSSC 06 Blue Boys the Championship! Way to kick-off the season 06B Blue and Coach Rick Morin!!
