Following their August tournament win at the Santa Cruz Breakers Cup, 05G Blue competed in the Champions Cup in Manteca during the weekend of September 23/24.  From the Strikers to the Goalkeepers, the entire team played with a lot of grit and heart, winning all three of their matches to get to the championship game on Sunday afternoon.  Matched up against a very physical and highly ranked Central Valley opponent, the girls fought to a 2-2 tie and the game was decided by penalty kicks.  The opponents’ final penalty kick was batted over the crossbar and the celebration was on!  Congratulations to Coach Steve Bradley and the 05G Blue team!
